Portland Fiddle Camps is launching our first dedicated track just for cello and viola players!
We need your feedback to help us develop our program and sustain it’s growth. Our budget is grassroots and we want to make sure our resources are pushed in the right direction. We will focus our resources on the week(s) that have the most players.

Description of the program
After years of welcoming violas and cellos in mixed classes, we’ve created focused sessions specifically for our low range friends!
Students will work with a professional viola/cello teacher to learn melodies and tunes selected for playability and enjoyment. Each student will get a viola or cello book of tunes.
In addition to learning melodies, players will also join the fiddle groups and learn to embellish the arrangements with their specific low-range voices — think backup lines and plucked bass accompaniment!
