Fiddle Camp is the only kids day camp of it’s kind in the PNW. Our program makes the in-depth study of several genres of fiddle music accessible and fun for all kids on violin, viola, cello and guitar. So, what happens to a High Schooler who has maybe “aged out” of the whole day camp thing? TEEN CAMP!

Teen Camp! is designed to engage our advanced fiddle, viola, cello & guitar players age 14+. Teens will learn loads of tunes in a variety of keys and traditions. They will learn how to support melodies with techniques such as harmonizing and rhythmic accompaniment (aka backing up). Then they get to show their stuff at our Friday Concert in the Park.

Valuable Teacher Training sessions led by Kate and Sophie (Certified Suzuki teachers) covering lesson planning, group management, mentoring, and working with younger students with joy and patience. This program is optional & open to all, however it is required in order to become a Counselor at PFC.
