PFC offers levels of fiddle-tunes study for everyone age 6-16, from beginner to advanced, on violin, viola, cello and bass.  We require campers have at least 1 year of private study to attend fiddle camp.  Note reading is not required but is helpful. We are pleased to offer our “Advanced Track” options again this year. See below for more info.

“Natalie MacMaster” Track – beginner/intermediate players.
We will work from the Portland Fiddle Camp book and explore various styles of fiddle music.
“Kenny Baker” Track-intermediate/advanced players. Suzuki Book 3+
Players will receive specialized study in a particular fiddle style that is offered each week. Players will delve into and learn the authentic ornamentation and repertoire of either Irish, Bluegrass or Old-Time styles. Different tracks are offered each week. Let’s shoot for the moon!

Option to attend one or two weeks of camp:
On the registration form, sign up for either one week or both weeks of camp. If you register for both weeks you will receive a $65 discount. 🙂

Scholarships

We are offering one scholarship per week of camp. To apply, please email us a statement of your child’s interest and your family’s need. We will use a lottery to award the scholarships to an eligible family which will be sent in the form of a scholarship code that can be entered on the registration page
