Friday Afternoon is our CAMP CONCERT!
Details to follow…
We are working out some ideas ….

Details about Scheduled Classes

Morning & Afternoon sessions : Kids will play along (muted) as the teacher leads the class. We will work on Tune #1 in the morning session and Tune #2 in the afternoon session. The Advanced Group will be presented with 3 tunes. (By comparison, at our in-person camp each camper learns a whopping 4 tunes at performance level!)

“Woodshed” – an old term meaning “figuring out a tune on your own with no interruptions”…. Picture a fiddler taking their instrument to the quiet sanctum of the woodshed out back to figure out the tune…rehearsing the tune over and over until it can be performed flawlessly. Please strategize a place indoors or outside where your child can Woodshed their tune.

Zoom Buddies : Each camper will be assigned a Zoom buddy to play their tune for (if they choose) after the day of camp is over.

Master Class Semi-Private Sessions – These are Master Classes with a teacher wherein Campers will Zoom in groups of 2 or 3 and have a chance to ask questions, get parts clarified etc… This is purely optional. We hope to fill in any gaps in learning and make the learning fun!

Custom-made Recordings – We will email each camper custom-made recordings of the tunes they are going to learn. Tunes will be presented in a slow, methodical learning format, broken down into small bits. Campers are encouraged to start learning early! These recordings are extremely important to keep track of as campers work from them during their “Woodshed” hour each day. These recordings are the most important tools for them to have when we’re not in session.

Schedule is subject to change only slightly…You can mostly rely on these time frames.
